For this Valentines I made this awesome 3D pink heart made out of paper. For this DIY you will need some paper, a pencil, scissors, cardboard, tape and hot glue. Start by cutting out squares and making them into cones.
Next, Hot Glue them into your cardboard heart.
Hot Glue the pink paper cones until you can no longer see the cardboard.
This is how the heart will look once you're finish.

SKILLS: They will learn listening skills when given instructions. They will develop responsibility skills since they will have to do their own research. This project will help them develop creativity skills since they will have to manage to fit information from the periodic table into an element baby book.
GRADE LEVEL: Elementary
LESSON CONTENT: This lesson plan is so students become more familiar with the periodic table and its elements.
1) Introduce the subject with The Periodic Table Powerpoint (Google Slides) and the YouTube video (https://youtu.be/sLpVMdVlwVY .)
2) List the requirements: a cover page, birth certificate, picture of the element and its family, and a family tree.
3) Show an example of an element baby book and how it looks
4) At the computer lab, have everyone go to PTableand look for an element that they like. Next, have them start creating their own element baby book. They can find all the information they need from the website. They can create the entire element baby book from the computer or use papers, scissors, and markers.
5) Once everyone is done they can present their element baby book to the rest of the class.
FORMATION: Students can do all the research at the computer lab or at their desks if they decide to craft their book with paper, scissors, and markers.
SUGGESTIONS: Students will work individually or they can team up in partners. Depending on grade level, if the research is complicated they can team up in teams or each one can make their own book. Help them with research if needed but let them have full creativity.
ASSESSMENT: Students will be assess if they have correct information and have fully completed the book on time. My Example of My Element Baby Book:

My element's name is Neon Nicolas and his nickname is Ne. His place of birth was in London, England. Neon Nicolas was born in 1898 with a birth weight of 20.18 amu and a height of 10 inches tall. His race is Noble Gases and his gender is gas. His attending physician was the amazing Sir William Ramsay. His personality consists of getting so mad that his boiling point is at -246.1 °C. His melting point is at -248.6 °C.
Helium is the father, Argon is the mother, Krypton is the oldest brother, Xenon is the oldest sister, Radon is the youngest daughter and Neon is the baby brother of the family.
When my element Neon grows up he will have a bright future ahead of him because he will light up advertising signs. Neon will end up marrying Helium and together they will combine to to make helium-neon lasers. He will move away from England where he was born and move to las vegas where he can make it shine. He will be traveling from New York to Las Vegas back and forth because Times Squares also needs him a lot.
Hey Guys, I made this quick video to show you guys how my brothers green theme birthday party turned out. This was Tumblr and Pinterest inspired. I made the invitations by using an online website that lets you customize your own party invitations by using some of their templates. I printed them out and decided to put them inside a clear balloon that had confetti inside it. It thought this was a fun and creative way to send out invitations since the guest got to pop the balloon to reveal the invitation.
Some of the materials were from amazon and party city. Most of the decorations were hand made (DIY). I also bought some decorations from the dollar store/99 cent store. For example the signs were from the dollar store as well as the balloons. I went the day of the party in the morning to buy the green helium balloons to the dollar store.
The happy birthday and table cloths were also from the dollar store.
There was a tostilocos and birthday presents table as well. The clear balloons on the window had green confetti inside but you could barely see it.
We bought a long role of green table cloths but ran out of them very fast. The lime green balloons hanging from the top were from party city but they started to randomly pop out of no where so I couldn't recommend them.
I bought green cups from the dollar store and wrote out my brothers name on the fence.
We also had bonfire area for the night were the little kids got to make s'mores.
My cousin was the one who painted one of the logs and drew a fire flame on it.
This party banner was from amazon and we hanged it on a fence.
I made these signs to put on the waters so the guest new which flavors they were.
I made these cardboard letters with paper and styrofoam paper from the dollar store.
I found this amazing website that used to be called AMZ Review Trader but is now called VIPON. In this website you were able to get free things from Amazon in return for a review. If you had Amazon Prime this made it super efficient and completely free since you didn't have to pay for shipping.
Well, recently Amazon changed their rules and policies and now sellers can't demand a review from their costumers in return for a free product. This meant that the purpose of this amazing website that connected sellers with reviewers was not going to work any longer, so AMZ Review Trader decided to switch their name and website style to Vipon. Now, sellers can still give costumers free products but they can't demand a review in return. This caused many sellers to leave and no longer use the website, so reviewers like myself were not getting any more products to review.
I decided to make one last video of some of the things I was able to get before the new rules and policies changed. I no longer use the website but it used to work perfectly. All the products shown in my video will be listed down below.
This was a fun and lovely Christmas, I was able to stay at home and take time wrapping Christmas presents for my family. Can't wait for next year and the many other crafts coming my way.
I made this super cute and simple wrapping present banner with the name of the person for who it was. For the name tag I just wrote Happy Christmas on one side and from who it was on the other. I could of also done it the other way around and written Happy Christmas on the banner and for who it was for on one side of the name tag and keep the name of who was it from on the other.
